SYNOPSIS

The wastewater treatment produces approximately 20 kg of solids per person per year. A treatment plant wastewater, to serve a population of 100,000 people daily produce 5.5 tons of dry solids, corresponding to 138 m3/day of sewage sludge with a solids content of 4%.

The thermal drying process has developed enormously in recent years as one of the main routes for sludge stabilization and treatment prior to final recycling.
