The first documentary produced by Minimal Films was "Bucharest, Memory Lost", directed by Albert Solé. The fact of winning a Goya and a Gaudi for best documentary of 2009, besides a large number of national and international awards, made us became a reference in the world of documentary.
Since then we have produced documentaries such as "The sound of Raval" (Barcelona Television), the series of 28 chapters "Linguarium" (TVE), the features "Sonic Lives," "Metropolitan" (TV3) and a documentary series of 6 episodes over Antarctica in coproduction with Chile, "Terra Incognita".
Our latest documentary premiered in film, "The final escape," won the Silver Biznaga for Best Documentary and Audience Award at the Malaga Film Festival, plus got a special jury mention at the International Film Festival Guadalajara (Mexico) and an Honorable Mention at the Festival of Remembrance - Ibero-American Documentary (Mexico).
Today, Minimal Films Works with DocumentosTV (TVE) in the documentary "Silent death" that tackles head-on the topic of suicide. We also work in the edition of "Gabor" a feature documentary about a cinematographer who was blinded in the middle of a shoot. But above all, in Minimal Films we continue preparing projects for the future: "Frozen memories," the story of the pioneers who established the first Spanish scientific base in Antarctica, and "Noise", a documentary about global noise pollution, are our next steps in a long career.
